while waiting for my train home, and finished it right before pulling into my station. Reading it on a rickety train at night, the lights dim, may have been one of the reasons I found it terrifying, but I have not been able to stop thinking about this book for months. Months! Although not for everyone- especially people who cannot take self harm and suicide, this book is a must for anyone who wants a truly terrifying read and who has the mind to sit through a fairly dull- but loaded- half a book. It has been 11 months since I've read this and I can say that it's one of my favorite books, for sure. 10/10

Without spoiling the story, I'll say that this novel will shred your entire heart. It's an upsetting tale of love, hope, and death that makes the reader think about life, and how far humans will go to live as long as possible, and to what expense. 9.5/10
